Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas from our Family to yours!! We hope you are having a wonderful day like us...Sydney has been enjoying her new toys from G and Grandpa and
from Na and Pop................and

from Mom and dad! That is right we gave her a box or maybe a carseat because she is tooooo tall, but she is really enjoying the box more!

Christmas with the Browns

We have had fun this week with Grandpa and "G" and we enjoyed a wonderful Christmas last night with them.Sydney had more fun with the paper then opening her presents.
Wow what is that? How cool is this all new stuff!!!!!

Having fun on G's lap. Daddy put this silly bow on my head, but I still look cute!

Christmas with the Holdens

First Family picture with both the grandchildren.

Sydney is showing Mary Casen how to open up presents.

A picture of the girls. Mary Casen has grown so much since the last time we saw her.

Baptism

Sydney got Baptized this past weekend on June 20th. She did great. She did not cry at all and was actually waving to everyone. (and yes we took out the pacifier before we went up there)

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have had a very busy last couple of weeks. Sorry for no posts, but I will try to update with the major events in our lives. Sydney has been in hog heaven. She had Na here for entire week watching her and then this week she had Grandpa and "G" (Grandmother has decided to go shorter in hopes she will be saying her name sooner), while mommy and daddy have been working.

She has been having so much fun that she does not want to even take naps, so she will just fall asleep in strange places like her high chair or even her jumperoo.

Fun with Family!!

We were very blessed this Thanksgiving to spend it with family. We went down to PC and spent it with Grandma and Grandpa, and Aunt Amy and Uncle WL, and Great Grandma Pinne and Great Aunt Judy and Great Aunt Emma. Here are a few pics from the Holiday. Reading with Grandpa. Don't skip any pages Grandpa.
Playing with Uncle Wyatt. Grandmother has acquired a few toys for us to play with.

Watching the Dolphin show at Gulf World. We were in the splash zone, but luckily we stayed fairly dry.

Enjoying Great Grandmother's lap. I think we might both take a little cat nap.

New Bedroom!

Na and Pop came to visit and painted Sydney's nursery.

This is my favorite bug. Isn't it cute!
Taking a nap after all the hard work!

Gulf World

You can't read the sign, but this Parrot's name is Sydney. Sydney was fascinated by the birds. I guess because they make a lot of noise and are such bright colors.

She could not take her eyes off the flamingos either.
I think I enjoyed the dophins more than Sydney, but we did manage to catch a picture.

Rough Nights

Sydney has NOT been sleeping well at night since she no longer has to wear her brace. It looks like daddy caught his girls taking a cat nap yesterday afternoon. (Yes those are really dark circles under my eyes)

Caught on Camera

We finally got Sydney's teeth on camera. They are still a little hard to see when the pic is smaller, but trust me they are there!

All I want for Christmas is...............

MY TWO FRONT TEETH!!!! Sydney finally got her first tooth, well actually two. I have not been able to capture them on film yet, but they are there on her center bottom (I probably knew at one time what their technical name was, but center bottom will have to do.)

The Next American Idol is .................

Sydney Holden. Daddy loves Karaoke sooooo much that he could not wait until Christmas. Sydney seems to be a natural. She loves to sing into the mike with the music.

Look No Brace!!

We had good news this Friday. We went to the ortho doc and had our x-rays and NO MORE BRACE!!!!! Which is such good news, but we are having fun learning to sleep at night without it.

Birmingham Friends

We went to Birmingham this past weekend and had a lot of fun playing with our friends. Of course I did not have the camera out when all 7 children were there playing, but here is one of Akash and Sydney having fun.

Keep away with Abby

Sydney has decided that she likes the soccer ball that Abby and Ace play with. She will now go after it if we aren't paying attention. Here we are trying to teach Abby to keep it away from her. Not quite successful yet. We will keep working on it (and the ball goes to the dishwasher in the meantime).

Pulling Up for Food

Sydney has learned to pull up and grab things (including the yogurt melts, peach flavored; Daddy thinks they are pretty good, too). Don't worry about it if she chokes. Daddy and Mommy are there to help out (or video it, whichever seems the funniest at the time). We are waiting for that $10K video. I think we'll get it if we just keep trying. More to come.

Trick or Treat????

TRICKS!!!!!!!!
We have been a little busy lately and have not had a chance to let everyone know about all of Sydneys new tricks. We can now clap, pull up on just about anything near her (she even tried my pant leg) and we finally say Mama!

Here we are just acting silly with our shirt on our head.

Here we are clapping. We love to clap when music comes on!

Happy Halloween!

We went over to some friend's neighborhood to trick or treat. They get all the neighborhood kids together on a hay ride to trick or treat to each house. What a great idea! Don't we have a cute Lady Bug!!
Enjoying the hay ride. Good thing this costume came with a hat. It was pretty cold once we started moving.

Where is that Reese's cup???? (that is what dad told me to look for).

Crawling!!!

Sydney crawled really for the first time today. Well she kind of did it a few days ago but since I didn't have the camera out....today's the real first day. Below are some videos we just took. Unfortunately, we got a glimpse of the very near future. Melinda was distracted cleaning the carseat out and I was returning a text message as Sydney proceeded to crawl over and investigate the phone jack in which she promptly stuck her finger (no harm done thankfully). KEEP YOUR EYES PEALED PEOPLE! WE HAVE A LIVE ONE!

Quick Update

I just wanted to let you know that Sydney is doing better. We really don't know what it was, but she has not had a fever for the past two days and she actually slept through the night last night.

Second Hosptial Gown

We have had an eventful couple of days. It started on Tuesday (Mom's first day of work of course). Sydney had a 104.4 temp and febrile seizure at daycare. So we went to the doc and got some blood work and went back Wednesday morning (after a rough night of no sleep and high fevers). We then got more blood work and a Shot of an antibiotic (NOT FUN!). Then later that day we went BACK to the doctor and ended up getting admitted to the hospital and had a spinal tap and blood cultures drawn. Luckily our spinal tap was negative so we were discharged late last night and we go back to the doctor this morning. We are still having high fevers so we will see what they say today. Hopefully our antibiotics are kicking in because Sydney just got off my lap for the first time and is in the jumperoo. We will keep you posted.

A day in the sun!

We had a lot of fun playing outside today. It was beautiful and sunny, so Sydney had to wear her hat until some more hair comes in.

Here is one without the hat. We are just too cute!
It was a little windy as you can tell by Ace's ears blowing in the wind and my hair sticking straight up!

Baby's got back!
Where did that Cheerio go??????

Pumpkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and met some new friends. This is Caroline and Sydney sitting in the wagon waiting for a ride.Sydney really wanted this BIG pumpkin, but..............
She ended up with the one SHE could actually pick up.

Change of Weather

We have gone from shortsleeves and 90 degree weather to..................................Sweatshirts and 40 degree weather (of course that is at night, but still I thought this was Mobile)
