Beautiful Girls

Both girls have beautiful lips. I think Sydney's might be a little bit bigger still.

Sydney after ballet needing some water after a hard work out.

YUMMIE

Looks like Harper found her thumb already!

Sydney was a big helper and helped Na and G put out the sign and balloons before we came home.

Bath Time

We Enjoyed our bath so much more once our belly button fell off!

Not having fun!  I think she was cold!

First Family Outing

By some miracle, we ALL made it up, dressed and fed in time to go to church the first Sunday we were home.

Sydney is such a GREAT big sister!!

Bili Light Blanket

Harper had to go home on a Bili light blanket because our Bili was elevated (thankfully they did not keep us another day at the Hospital). We had to be on it ALL of the time, so it was a little challenging, but when they came out the next day to the house to check her level it was down and we were allowed to go OFF the light!!!

Harper loved the light because it kept her warm and cozy.

Dad liked it for checking out how white his teeth are!

An increased Bili can make one a little more sleepy, but what are mommy and daddy's problems?

Harper's First Day

Harper's enjoying her sleep today. Barely wakes to eat even. A different child than yesterday who appeared wide awake taking in the world. We are told this is normal and that she will likely be ravenous tonight. Here she appears to be contemplating waking up. I can tell you that she decided not to.

Mommy with her girls dressed in their big sis Sydney and lil' sis Harper shirts. I think Harper is getting tired of pictures.

Melinda, Harper and Dr. Plessala, her OB. He has been great to us since we got here to Mobile. he came in on Labor Day to take care of Melinda when not on call. Thanks

A well deserved nap for Mommy and baby

Mommy takes a break for some Sydney time.

Some Harper highlights

Sydney and Harper meet and discuss their fingers. Also, listen at the very beginning for the "you came out" comment. Completely Sydney. No prompting from us. She's been waiting for Harper to "hurry up and come out" for several weeks.

Sydney and I sing this every night before I leave the room when I put her down to sleep. She just spontaneously started singing songs to her and we were able to get a few on tape. The two below were the only ones I could get the whole song.

"Sydney Sunshine" is the nickname Na gave Sydney a while back along with this song that she loves (substitute "Sydney" for "only"). This is another one we sing every night. Listen carefully. She substitutes "baby" for "only" instead of "Sydney" and I swear she did it with no prompt at all! We couldn't believe it when we heard it either so we got it on video.

Footprints and the Bath!

I don't know where I am but I don't like you! What's the big idea! I come into this strange place, people rub all over me without my permission and then to top it of get my feet all dirty for no reason! I look like I've been walking around the grocery store barefooted for 2 weeks with no bath. Can't a girl get some respect! At least Daddy painted these cute pink panties on before posting to the world.

Enough with the rough bubble bath, already! I thought these were supposed to be all candles, wine, relaxing music, etc. Can't you make this a little more Zin!
Ahhhhh! Much more like it!! Bring me my tiara!I have to say, this is probably one of the best pictures of her. Perfectly beautiful!

Harper Has Arrived!

Along with Tropical Storm Lee, Harper Madison Holden arrived at 0844 on 9/5 (about 10days early based on due date), 7lbs even and 20inches. Wailing like the wind outside, she's got some lungs on her.

What, what, what in the world! Lady if you don't stop that I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna........well I'll figure it out when I figure out where I am and then you'll be sorry!

Mom, Dad and new editionSydney of course is very proud of her new sister. "Harper came out, Mommy?"This will probably be one of my favorites of the day. Daddy and his little girls. They are already plotting on how to wrap me up tight and I go willingly!

To avoid making the day all about Harper, we've decided to spread the day out with a few little presents scattered out for Sydney. She's in for a rude awakening. No reason to start today though. Daddy and Mommy both stopped for some Sydney's still special time.Na and Pop and the new family. One proud set of grandparents!G and Grandpa with the larger happier family. Also very proud grandparents.
