July 2009 Tour of Sydney

We have had a busy 2 weeks. We started off flying to Birmingham and driving up to Florence, AL to see Shaf's side of the family for the 4th of July. Then we went down to Mobile to find a house (oh the drama with finding a place to live) and then we drove back to Birmingham (of course I forgot the camera then) and then we flew up to Chicago to see my side of the family. WOW what a whirlwind of a trip.
Relaxing on the pier of the 4th of July. (You have to love the travel swing) She slept for 3 hours straight and that was only because we woke her up. No, daddy did not put beer in her bottle.

Someone was not too happy to be on the boat. I think it was a combo of the lifejacket and being really hungry and tired.

First swim in the river outside of Pop's and Na's house. We tried really hard to keep her hands and head out of the water, but no luck. We had a head dive into the water when daddy and mommy were not looking. Luckily no bad lake bugs!

Sydney got to meet her Great Mama Gene and Great Grandmother Holden. Of course, we didn't have the camera with us at Aunt Carol's while Great Grandomther Holden was holding her, but here is a picture of her with Mama Gene that evening back home (looking good for 93).

We love our purple moose that our Aunt Susan got for us in Wyoming. (Notice that Na and Pop did not fasten the seat belt while we were in the swing and the parents were gone.)

Pop playing with me in Mobile. (We have really gotten to know that hotel really well. It is now Sydney's second home)

Sydney sitting on Great Grandmother Pinne's lap. The weather was much cooler in Chicago and we really enjoyed it for the few days we were there.
