Haircut

We went for a haircut the other day and for the first time she had her hair washed before her haircut and she thought she was big stuff!

We squeezed in one last weekend on the river this summer!

Our summer is going to be gone in a blink of an eye!  We have one last beach trip coming up and moving to a new house and then it will be October and too cold to get in the water.

Silly Harper

Even though she was sent home sick, she still is acting her normal silly self.  Here she put on her sister's socks and shoes ALL by herself.  She is actually great at shoes and socks and some how always gets her shoes on the correct foot???

First Day of School!

Yesterday was the first day of school for the girls.  Sydney is already in Pre-K4 and Harper is in her 2 year old class.  The first day was good for both girls, but Harper was sent home sick :(  Sydney's class is going to have homework once a week to get them prepared for kindergarten next year.  They also have shortened naps (Sydney had to be woken up) and the teacher is teaching them to walk in a line quietly.  Sydney response was that "she can't do that".  The teacher explained that they would work on that this year so that she will be ready for next year and she responded by saying "well that is just not going to happen".  I blame this on her father because he was constantly in trouble for talking too much!

Harper had a chance to release several also, but it was harder for mom to take pictures in fear that she might squeeze one too tight.

I came into the room and found sydney watching T.V. with all of her babies of course.  They all had their separate beds and blankets that she put them into before she went to bed.

Summer Fun in Huntsville

The girls and I have had a fun summer exploring new things to do in Huntsville.  Here of the few thing we found!

Burrit on the mountain has all of the nursery rhymes you can think of to visit, along with live animals! We went on water day also and got to cool off from one nursery rhyme to the next.

Early Works Children museum has lot of fun things to, including dressing up!

During the summer we have been skipping naps some days and it finally caught up to this one and she fell asleep on the couch (which rarely happens). Of course you have to sleep in a tutu :)

Giant Garden Little Me

The rain finally stopped and we got to finally go back to the botanical gardens!  They really do a good job making it fun for the kids. This years theme is Giant Garden!!  They have several different areas for the kids to play here are just a few that I was able to get the kids still long enough to get a picture....

We had plans to go to the botanical gardens today, but mother nature had other plans! It has been raining cats and dogs ALL day so we ventured out to Kidsventure
