Santa visits Mobile

Santa came to visit Mobile. Sydney and Mommy were upstairs when we heard HO, HO, HO and bells jingling. I told Sydney it was Santa and she ran the other way scared and screaming for daddy! When daddy appeared, she was okay to come downstairs and look what she found.....

Sydney was sooooooooo excited!!! She kept going back and forth between all 3 gifts.
Sydney played us some beautiful Christmas music on her piano.

Sydney did not want to go to bed after playing with all of her new toys.

White Christmas

We flew up to Chicago for Christmas and had fun seeing A LOT of family! We were able to go to the Shedd Aquarium (of course I did not have my camera again so pics to follow when I get them from the grandparents).
We got a chance to sled several times. Sydney liked going down best head first, but she went down sitting up, laying on her back, backwards, pretty much anyway you can go down.

She even let me take her down once or twice, but really liked going down by herself. We usually had to drag her back inside kicking and screaming because she was having so much, but we were frozen!

Uncle Steve and Aunt Susan

We left Nashville and drove back to Birmingham and were able to spend the night with Aunt Susan, Uncle Steve and Christopher. It was so good to see them.
Aunt Susan is an amazing story book reader. Sydney was mesmerized by her words.
We got an apron from the Tiplers for Christmas. She is showing off her apron while sitting in Christopher's lap.

Nashville Christmas

We went up to Nashville to stay at the Opryland Hotel with Na, Pop, Uncle Josh, Aunt Chrissy, and Mary Casen! We had so much fun. We were able to play in the snow (not from the sky, but from the snow machine) and go in the really COLD (7-9 degrees cold) ICE exhibit. I did not have my camera, but will get pics from Na and post soon.

Before we left we were able to go on a train ride. (The only time I pulled out my camera).

Meeting Santa!

We were invited out to meet Santa at the Yacht Club.

While waiting on Santa to arrive we saw our classmate Sophia and took a picture on the fire truck.

Santa arrived by boat.

Waiting patiently for Santa to call Sydney's name to come up and get a present.

Sydney did not want to sit in Santa's lap to open her present from him, but she did hug him and stand next to him while I held her.

The Grande

While Sydney was having fun with the grandparents we snuck away to the Grande Hotel in point clear for a night. It was wonderful. Then Sydney, Na and Pop met up with us for Brunch.

Daddy and Sydney rolling their suitcases.

Trying to get a picture for the Christmas card.

This ended up being the magic one.

Sydney loves to twirl around in circles. She was showing off for a couple of people.

There were ducks to feed at the hotel also. These ducks were MEAN. They ran straight up to Sydney and bit her on the nose. She did not even have food. However, Sydney did not mind and still wanted to feed them her fruit loops.

Group picture.

Fun With Grandparents

Sydney had fun with both sets of grandparents in Silverhill, AL (WHERE??) Yes it was in the middle of nowhere, but they had a lot of fun stuff for kids to do.

There was a petting zoo...watch your fingers, those goats look hungry.

There was a train! Got to love the train whistle!

Then you got to decorate your own wooden train. Pop helped us a little.

Look over there! I must go see.......

Mickey Mouse!!!!!!!

Christmas Lights

We had lots of fun going to see all of the Christmas Lights at Bellingrath Gardens. It was beautiful! Having the grandparents there we were able to grab several family pics and also a picture to put on the Christmas card.

Birmingham Zoo

While in Birmingham a couple weeks ago we were able to make it to the zoo.
Sydney LOVED the merry go round and would have probably stayed on it the entire time we were there if we had let her.

Kisses goodbye Giraffe.

Kisses to the Lama Lama also (now this one kisses back)

Got to love a fun house mirror.

Does this mirror make my head look big?

Good pic with POP.

That is a BIG tongue!

Feeding the giraffe.

That is a lot of birds.

Sydney wanted to pet the kangaroos, but only looking was allowed.

Sydney made a face every time the train whistled.

You have to look closely, but Sydney was feeding the Flamingos.

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Since Shaf had to work Thanksgiving(and I had to work the day after), we were lucky to have family come and visit us here in Mobile! Both sets of grandparents and Uncle WL and Aunt Amy were here!

We started the day off with a popsicle and the Elmo Dance. Popsicles have been a staple in our house lately from adenoids out, to GI bug with LOTS of vomiting, and the latest bug has been the Croup. Poor thing is a trooper, but did NOT like the breathing treatments.

Sydney was a big helper with getting Thanksgiving Dinner ready. She helped "G" snap the green beans.

Sydney using the roller to get ready to make her Gingerbread house.

Just one more gum drop.
After eating a big meal you need to burn off some calories. Sydney chose SWINGING!

and more SWINGING!

Better Late than Never

Here are some pictures from when we went up to Florence, AL to see Na and Pop this past August!

Aren't big glasses in style these days?
Bean bag fun!

We went to the park and fed the ducks. I am happy to say that no one was bitten.

Family Pic at the park!

She would NOT stop drinking the river water. There is no telling what kind of bugs she swallowed.
Pop built Sydney a waterslide into the river. Sydney LOVED it!

Sydney had a blast on the waver runner. She liked it much more than the boat. I am guessing because it was cooler than the boat because it was HOT!

We tried having her ride in between us, but she could not see much and she fell asleep.
