I decided last minute to make a quick trip to the beach. As all of you have heard there is an oil leak headed this way. They had been talking about it all week and said it would reach us by the end of the weekend. I decided why not one last trip to the beach because who knows if we will have another chance. Needless to say things did not go as planned. Shaf got stuck in the O.R. and did not get home until after 9 pm. Once we got all packed and on the road we finally got to Orange Beach at 11:30pm. Which was bad enough with a one year old, but then our plastic keys did not work. To make a LONG story short we struggled getting keys that worked and 4 rooms later and 3.5 hours later we were about to leave to go back home when they finally put us next door where they have REAL keys. We started off rough, but the rest of the weekend was wonderful. Luckily the oil smell had not arrived yet. It is now here in Mobile and Dauphin Island. Oh how scary it is to wait and watch what happens to the beaches. No pics of the beach because Daddy was studying at the pool, but we had lots of fun. The baby jelly fish are washing up and Sydney had fun playing with the balls of jelly. Here are some fun pics from the weekend.

I'm glad that you guys got to hit the beach before the oil hit. I want to head home to see the beach, but we have to wait until June/July. It makes me so sad to think of all that is being destroyed by the oil. Hugs to you all!!
